The Penn State 校友 Association honored 22 Penn Staters on Oct. 6 with the 校友奖, the highest award given by the 校友 Association. 自1973年以来, the 校友奖 has been given to select alumni who, as leaders in their professional fields, are nominated by an academic college and accept an invitation from the president of the University to return to campus to share their expertise with students, 教师和管理人员.

Keystone麋鹿国家联盟, of which 卡 is the founding president and CEO, is a nonprofit 宾西法尼亚-based conservation organization whose mission is to conserve and enhance 宾西法尼亚’s elk country for future generations. 卡 has authored a large number of articles and 研究 reports, which have appeared in many conservation, 户外, 研究, and professional magazines and periodicals. He has made guest appearances on such television programs as "宾西法尼亚 Outdoor Life,《365英国上市官网》,和《365英国上市官网》."

卡, a life member of both the Keystone Elk Country Alliance and RMEF, also is a member of the National Rifle Association, 国际狩猎俱乐部, and the Eastern Chapter Foundation for North American Wild Sheep. Throughout his life he has been the recipient of many conservation-based awards from such foundations and organizations as the RMEF, C. Ted Lick Conservation Foundation, and the 宾西法尼亚 Game Commission. He also has been honored by the 宾西法尼亚 Senate with its Special Recognition Award and by Penn State with the David T. Wanlass野生动物奖.

卡 and his wife, Lana, are members of the Penn State 校友 Association. They reside in Weedville, 宾西法尼亚, and are the proud parents of two sons, Cody and Jess.
